Advanced vascular and pigment laser treatments
Cutera Excel V+
Precision laser options for selected facial redness, visible vessels, leg veins, pigmentation and gentle skin revitalisation—with integrated cooling for comfort.
How this treatment can help
Clearer, calmer and more even-looking skin with one versatile laser
Excel V+ helps our team treat a wide range of suitable red and brown concerns, from fine facial capillaries and diffuse redness to selected deeper leg veins and benign pigmentation. It also provides the gentle Laser Genesis approach for gradual improvement in skin quality and redness.
Its 532 nm and 1064 nm wavelengths reach and interact with different targets and depths. Blood or pigment absorbs the chosen light and converts it to controlled heat, while sapphire contact cooling helps protect the surface and improve comfort.
The benefit of two wavelengths comes from knowing when and how to use them. Our experienced laser team first identifies whether your concern is vascular, pigmented, inflammatory or textural, then selects the wavelength, spot size, pulse and cooling for your individual skin.

Your treatment experience
What the treatment process looks like
Assess
We identify whether the target is vascular, pigmented, inflammatory or textural and check skin type, tan, medicines, medical history and expected recovery.
Select
Wavelength, spot size, pulse duration, fluence and cooling are selected for the target. Different concerns can require completely different settings.
Review
The expected endpoint and aftercare depend on the treatment. Results and the need for further sessions are reviewed after the skin has settled.

Frequently asked questions
Your questions, answered clearly
These answers explain the general experience. Your consultation is where we confirm what is appropriate for your skin, health and goals.
What is Cutera Excel V+?
Excel V+ is a medical laser platform combining 532 nm and long-pulse 1064 nm wavelengths with integrated sapphire contact cooling. It provides options for superficial and deeper vascular targets plus selected pigment and revitalisation applications.
What is the difference between 532 nm and 1064 nm?
The 532 nm wavelength is strongly absorbed by superficial red and brown targets, while 1064 nm penetrates more deeply and can be selected for deeper or darker vascular patterns and Laser Genesis. We choose the wavelength after assessment.
What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis is Cutera’s non-ablative 1064 nm treatment using controlled micro-pulses to warm the dermis and microvasculature. It may be used for selected redness, fine lines, scars and general skin quality after assessment.
Does Excel V+ have downtime?
Downtime depends on the indication and settings. A gentle Genesis treatment may have little visible recovery, while targeted vessels or pigment can swell, darken, bruise or crust temporarily.
Is it suitable for every skin tone?
The platform has options used across a broad range of skin types, but not every wavelength or indication is appropriate for every skin tone. Pigment risk, tan and the target must be assessed.
How is treatment priced?
Pricing is based on the concern, area, required time and treatment plan. Facial capillary and leg-vein consultations are currently listed as free, with treatment quoted after assessment.
Personalised professional care
Experience matters when treatment is personal
Our qualified and experienced team starts with what concerns you, then selects the treatment, technique and settings around your skin or body—not a one-size-fits-all menu.
Vascular and pigmentary concerns require accurate assessment. Treatment selection, expected skin response, recovery and risks are discussed before proceeding.
